Areas of
My Approach
I am an integrative therapist using a variety of approaches depending on the needs of each client. Integrative therapy blends and employs varying therapy techniques to address a client’s individual circumstances, beliefs and goals.
My approach is collaborative, practical and personal. I believe that human beings are naturally resilient and have an incredible capacity for change when in a supportive environment. We are often held back by our core beliefs and by bringing awareness to our repeated patterns of behaviour, we can identify areas where we are “stuck.”
My aim is to help clients make space for new possibilities and new ways of being by challenging these limiting core beliefs together. From my experience, many people come into therapy wanting to understand themselves better, and to gain a better understanding of why they are the way they are: why they have particular issues, and why they are repeatedly experiencing the same patterns in their personal relationships. Understanding “the why” can be a liberating first step that can help us move to the next phase of breaking and changing these patterns. My goal is to help clients through this journey.
My integrative approach is informed by various schools of thought within therapy:
-
Relational Psychodynamic Therapy
-
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
-
Humanistic/Person-Centred Therapy
-
Transpersonal Therapy
-
Existential Therapy
